The first time I saw the trailer, I thought it will be a zombie movie. But, it's not. It's about a family who have to escape from a riot in a foreign country. It's just as simple as that but, about how the family escaped from the riot is complicated. Fortunately, they have Pierce Brosnan who's gonna save them. It's one of my favorite movie in 2015. It's good to see Owen Wilson NOT in a comedy movie. I'm kinda tired seeing him in there.
And, this movie is about a riot in Asia. I've read some comments about this movie. I'd rather interested in their discussion about the location of the riot taken place. I read that movie make it as vague as they can. Well, it guess it'll be troublesome for the production if they don't make it unclear and ambiguous since there is no such riot happened anymore in Asia. Creating this kind of brutal imagination for certain country is not a good idea. The only thing which is clear in the movie is the protestors are against America. As always.
Ah ya, this movie is successful in creating suspense atmosphere. A crisis in family handling this fucked-up situation is....always interesting for audience. Well, you can see how well World War Z getting good reviews. This movie also deserves the same thing, imo. Furthermore, what I like in the movie is not only about the dad saving the family, but also the mother and even the children. All of them, they have important roles in here. Well, I won't say much about the movie. It's good if you just watch it yourself. Some scenes are dramatically taken and some scenes are making your heart race. Good job, John Erick Dowdle.
